Shireen Brueggeman, Esq.
Shireen Brueggeman was a criminal prosecutor for nearly 15 years, handling a broad spectrum of cases—from misdemeanors and traffic offenses to serious felonies including aggravated battery, sexual battery, armed robbery, home invasions, and attempted murder.
During her last four years at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, she served in the Organized Crime and Racketeering Unit, where she focused on complex cases involving racketeering, organized fraud, grand theft, conspiracy, and medical crimes such as unlicensed assisted living facilities, prescription fraud, and the unlicensed practice of medicine.
From 2013 to 2017, Ms. Brueggeman also served as an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor with the Florida Attorney General’s Office, targeting large-scale criminal organizations engaged in RICO violations, money laundering, and fraud.
She graduated with High Honors from UC Berkeley and received the Academic Excellence Award in Criminal Procedure upon graduating law school. While in law school, she also earned the highest mark in the Prosecutor’s Clinic at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.
Ms. Brueggeman is an active member of the Miami-Dade Bar’s Criminal Courts Committee and currently serves as Secretary on the Board of the League of Prosecutors. She is licensed to practice law in Florida, California and the District of Columbia.
